We highly encourage you to fill out our online registration. Returning camper families already have an account for registration.
Please contact our office if you need assistance logging into your account or if you need a paper form mailed to your home. PLEASE NOTE: One of our highest priorities is to ensure that a summer camp experience is accessible to all, with a particular focus on providing an affordable summer camp experience to those who need it most. We are committed to reserving 75% of our registrations for families who have the greatest financial need. To ensure we are able to meet this service standard we may restrict registration to reserve space for the families that have the greatest financial need. If the fee you qualify for has been removed as an option this may be the case. Please call us at 616-949-0780 ext. 105 to verify. Thank you for your understanding. Questions about Summer Camp

Who We Are
Since 1921, Camp Blodgett has been enriching the lives of youth in West Michigan. Our summer camp serves kids ages 8-17 who live in Kent and Ottawa Counties. Summer camp experiences include physical activities like swimming, hiking and biking, but we also ensure that campers are exposed to learning opportunities with activities that may be new to them such as archery, canoeing, and workshops on a variety of topics to keep their minds active and growing.
The safety of our campers is our highest priority. Camp Blodgett undergoes rigorous inspections each summer by the State of Michigan and provides our staff with intensive, high quality training to ensure that our programs, staff, and facilities meet the highest standards of safety and quality.
Camp Blodgett’s staff is made up of caring, energetic young adults who are at least 18 years of age and have passed multiple background and reference checks. We hire individuals who are enthusiastic, creative, honest, dependable, and who are dedicated to being positive role models for campers and other staff. Our staff ratio is approximately 1 staff member to 3 campers.

What To Expect at camp blodgett
At Camp Blodgett, we never allow cost to get in the way of a child’s opportunity to attend summer camp. With our sliding fee scale, your family size and income determine the cost of your child’s camp fees. Most of our campers come to Camp Blodgett for our lowest fee of $40 for a 5-day (4-night) session of overnight camp. One of our highest priorities is to ensure that a summer camp experience is accessible to all. We are committed to reserving 75% of our registrations for families who have the greatest financial need. Throughout the registration season, we will be accepting higher income campers (designated as those paying $100 or more in camp fees per camper) on a first come-first served basis, but will limit the percentage of higher income campers to no more than 25% of our camper population. If your child is not able to be accommodated at Camp Blodgett this summer for this reason, we will be happy to suggest other camps your child may enjoy and/or place your child on a waiting list.
In order to serve as many children as possible who are interested in attending our summer camp, each child is allowed to come for one session per summer season.

Mixed-Gender Cabins
Camp Blodgett will be offering a mixed-gender cabin option. While boy and girl cabins will still be offered, mixed-gender cabins allow for greater flexibility in camper housing. Here are FAQs about this new cabin offering:
Who will be allowed to stay in a mixed-gender cabin?
All campers can request the mixed-gender cabin during registration.
Can I still register my camper for a single gender cabin?
Absolutely! Boy and girl cabins are not going away. During the registration process, you can select which cabin you would like your camper to stay in.
Who will be supervising the mixed-gender cabin?
Just like all our cabins, the mixed-gender cabin will have a minimum of two cabin counselors, who will be mixed-gender pairs whenever possible.
How will bathrooms/showering/changing be handled?
All cabins have a private, one-stall bathroom, which the campers are free to use when in the cabin. When it is time to change their clothes, campers will have the option of using either the cabin bathroom one at a time, or to go as a group to the bath house, where there are individual stalls and a two-door shower area.
