Camp Blodgett Impact: Camperships

Camp Blodgett is West Michigan’s only public summer camp specifically designed for children facing poverty, with 75% of our campers coming for $80 or less for one week of camp. Since 1921, community members like you have invested in our annual Campership Campaign ensuring 700 local kids have access to a life-changing week of self-esteem building adventures on Lake Michigan.

With the average summer camp costing over $750 each week, low-income families have limited access to this recreational and educational experience. We exist to make sure all kids, regardless of income, experience the empowerment of summer camp.  As part of Camp Blodgett's commitment to ensure that summer camp is accessible to ALL children, all fees are based on a sliding scale so that cost is never a barrier to a child getting to camp.

Invest in a Campership Today!

You can give a child a life-changing experience at Camp Blodgett by providing a Campership. Giving levels for are tiered to make it possible for all of our supporters to give at the level that works for them. By providing a Campership, you cover the costs of staffing, programming, facility expenses, and more for a child’s summer camp experience.

$750

Cover the cost of one child attending a one-week session at Camp Blodgett. During a week at camp a child will experience new and challenging activities, gain confidence, make new friends, explore the great outdoors, and more!

$150

Cover the cost for one day at Camp Blodgett for one child! Throughout a child's day at camp they may climb the rock wall, swim in Lake Michigan, attend an arts workshop, make new friends, and join in on a group game. Your support makes a day like this possible!

$375

Cover half the cost of one week of summer camp for one child. In just a few days at camp, a child is provided with numerous opportunities to grow and learn and develop meaningful relationships with their counselors and other campers!

Sponsor an activity or workshop at camp! Every activity at camp has a financial cost, from the tie-dye powder we use every day to brightly color our camper t-shirts to the basketballs or craft supplies we purchase for a workshop. Financial gifts in any amount support the educational and recreational activities that Camp Blodgett carries out every day during summer camp!
