what makes camp blodgett different?
Camp Blodgett started out of a need for low-income children to get outdoors. We have evolved over the last century to be a year-round youth development organization that provides recreational and educational experiences to children who could otherwise not afford them.
When we do need to charge for our programs, such as our summer camp program, we use a sliding scale based on family size and income. This means most families pay $40 or less for one week of summer camp when the true cost of camp is more than $750.
We do this on purpose because we believe ALL kids, regardless of income, deserve access to opportunity.
We ensure our staff represents the diversity of children we serve and that all who serve with us are focused on delivering inclusive, equitable, and accessible programs.
