experience our important camp conversations!
During our virtual For The Kids! fundraising event on November 12, 2020 our supporters experienced three important Camp Conversations with current and former Camp Blodgett campers and summer staff. We want to share these stories with you, too, to highlight the impact that Camp Blodgett's programs have on the youth we serve.
Enjoy these brief videos, and learn more about how you can help us continue to impact West Michigan's youth in our 100th year of service to children and teens.

when mentors become friends: jake & Norman
More than 15 years ago, Jake was a summer camp staff at Camp Blodgett and Norman was a teenage camper who had grown up as a camper. What began as a relationship built on role modeling and mutual respect for one another became a friendship that has lasted more than a decade. Today, Jake and Norman are both raising families and serving youth and families in West Michigan through their professions. Norman also serves as a member of Camp Blodgett's Board of Directors. Enjoy their Camp Conversation!
opportunities to grow: Joni, Luke, & justus with holly & Jason
Holly discovered Camp Blodgett more than 7 years ago when she was looking for an affordable summer camp experience for her kids. She hoped they would experience fun and personal growth in a diverse and natural setting through camp. She didn't imagine they would also experience academic growth, leadership skills and mentorship as a result of their involvement in our programs. Experience this family's journey toward young adulthood and family stability through this video!
seeing the potential: Valeria
When Valeria's friend invited her to attend a week of summer camp as a 9 year old, little did she know that she would spend more than a decade returning each summer to this "home away from home" at Camp Blodgett. Even more, that her involvement at Camp Blodgett would help Val see her potential as a first generation college student and inspire a career as a social service professional serving youth and families. Get to know Val and learn how Camp Blodgett has inspired her to live out her potential!
Did these stories make an impact on you? The Camp Blodgett experience has impacted thousands of youth in our 99 years of service to kids in West Michigan.
